Professional Biography:
This is Dr. Wilson’s first year teaching at the University of Arkansas. He received his Ed.D. in Higher Education from Oklahoma State University in 2006, his M.S. in Counseling and Student Personnel from Oklahoma State University and his B.A. in History from the University of Arkansas. Dr. Wilson spent the past seven years working with various TRIO programs and continues with a TRIO program at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. His dissertation study analyzed whether or not motivation to succeed academically differed amongst various income groups. Dr. Wilson is a member of NASPA, ACPA, NACADA and serves on a number of nonprofit boards in the Bentonville area.
Personal Information:
At present David’s biggest project is his two children, Ethan, 4, and Jenna, 2. David’s other interests include restoring old houses, old cars, old motorcycles or just about anything his wife Kristin would define as "junk." On any given Saturday morning you can find David, Ethan and Jenna first at the Donut Shop in Bella Vista and then at Lowe's getting supplies for the day's projects.
