Question: Do you offer application fee waivers?

Answer: No; application fees are set by the Graduate School and there are no application waivers for international students.

Q: Who do I contact regarding visa and immigration questions?

A: You can learn more at Visas and Immigration in the U of A International Students and Scholars website, and you can contact the Graduate School at askgsie@uark.edu with specific questions.

Q: What are the English language proficiency requirements for admission?

A: English language proficiency requirements are set by the Graduate School and vary based on country of origin. International Admissions' Proficiency page has more information.

Q: Does your program offer scholarships?

A: Students may apply for general university scholarships from the Academic Scholarship Office or the College of Education and Health Professions' Scholarships page.

Q: Does your program offer graduate assistantships?

A: Students may apply for graduate assistantship positions independent of the Graduate School and HIED program applications. Available GA positions are listed on Workday. GA benefits generally include a stipend, tuition waiver (including international tuition), and optional, partially subsidized health insurance. GA opportunities are posted on a rolling basis and applicants should check for new postings routinely.

Q: Can you review my application materials via email?

A: Interested students should apply to the program via the Graduate School Application Portal. We do not evaluate candidate materials until the application is complete and the application fee paid. We cannot evaluate materials via email.

Q: What are the standardized test score requirements for program admission?

A: We do not accept or consider GRE or other standardized test scores for M.Ed. program applicants.

Q: What academic background is required for admission to the program?

A: We accept students from all types of academic backgrounds and disciplines.

Q: Do I need to contact a potential academic advisor?

A: No. Students will be assigned an advisor at program orientation during their first week of classes.
